Opera Wrocławska wzniesiona w latach 1839-1841 wedlug projektu Carla Friedericha Langhansa. Budynek był dwukrotnie przebudowywany po pożarach (1865-1867 Karl Bogislav Ludecke, 1871 Carl Schmidt). Pierwszym polskim przedstawieniem była Halka Stanisława Moniuszki w reżyserii Stanisława Drabika wystawiona 8 września 1945.
